New Google Sheets: Faster, more powerful, and works offline

What’s new: Whether you’re crunching big data or tracking your project’s budget, you don’t want to waste time waiting for files to load or re-doing edits that were lost because your Internet connection dropped. You can now be more efficient by switching to the new version of Google Sheets. It loads faster, supports larger spreadsheets, has a number of new features, and works offline like all the other Google Docs editors.
How it works: To turn on the new Sheets, check the Try the new Google Sheets box in Google Drive settings. From then on, all new spreadsheets you create will work offline and include these new features.

New Mobile Apps for Google Docs and Sheets

What’s new: You can now install standalone mobile apps for Google Docs and Sheets. These standalone mobile apps make it easier for your organization to create, edit, and view documents and spreadsheets while on the go.

Hangout link in Android Calendar

What’s new: You can talk to coworkers in another location, interview external candidates, or present your big idea to the whole company, no matter where you are—all from your mobile device. The Android Calendar app now shows the option to join your Hangout directly from the Google calendar app.
How it works: Simply click the Join Hangout link and jump right into the conversation.

Shuffle answer order in Google Forms

What’s new: You can now shuffle the order of how you want your answers to display. When you’ve created a form, you’re ready to start adding the questions you’d like to ask.
How it works: If you want respondents to see answer options for a question in a random order, in the question field, click Advanced, and check the Shuffle option order box. This option works for the following types of questions:

Multiple choice

Check boxes
-
Choose from a list
-
Grid (displays “Shuffle row order” instead of “Shuffle option order”)

Gadgets in Sites changes

What’s new: We’ve moved your Gadgets into Sites so you can see which gadgets you’re using.
How it works: You can download a gadget’s XML and upload to any other hosting platform (including Google AppEngine).

Insert photos in Gmail Compose window

What’s new: Whether it’s photos of your latest slide presentation, sending photos to your team members just got easier. Starting today, you can insert your Auto Backup photos from your phone into Gmail messages on the web using the new Insert Photo button.
How it works: When you click Insert Photo, you'll instantly access all the photos that are backed up from your mobile devices, starting with the most recent.
